Take a Kid Fishing

Conover Town Park 
Fathers Day June 16th 12-3PM

The wildly popular event is loved by young and old. The event features fishing for children in a small "pond" stocked with Trout, the event staff clean and fillet the trout so you can take them home to enjoy. Equipment & bait furnished by Northern Waters Angling and the Conover Lions supply fishing guides to help the kids. Prizes, food and drinks available.

July 4th Celebration

Conover Town Park
July 4th 1-5 PM

Conover Lions Club will host the Family 4th of July Picnic at Conover Town Park.  Enjoy food, refreshments, live music by Mark Hovel's Band from 1-3pm, kid games, bounce house and a dunk tank . New this year is the Conover Lions Club Cornhole Tournament $5.00 entry fee, double elimination, with 100% payout. Tournament registration starts at 1pm to 1:45pm. Tournament play starts at 2pm. Conover Town Park is located at 4697 Park Circle off County Rd K east of Hwy 45 in Conover. For more information call Jerry at 715-479-1492.

Kids Halloween Party

October 31st 5-8Pm

The Lions annual Halloween party for the kids consists of games, candy, prizes for the best costumes and a Spooky (not too Spooky), Haunted Hallway. Come down to the Conover Community Center to enjoy hot coco, brats and hot dogs, and adult beverages as the kids join in an event highlight, the costume parade.  A pumpkin decorating contest will be a new highlight this year, event information to follow.

Come Learn about the Lions

Are you interested in finding out more about the Conover Lions? Volunteering is a great way to learn about how "We Serve" the Community. As a part of the largest service club in the world, the Lions roll up their sleeves and take action to make a positive impact in their communities.  Lions rise to empower service offering scholarships, grants and programs to foster engagement by volunteers, members and partners that impact where they live and worldwide.  Promoting principals of kidness and pride, the Lions welcome volunteers at every event. As a service organization, the hours put in by high school and middle school students count for the credit hours required for graduation.  Come and bring hope and impact lives

Santa Comes To Conover

Conover Town Park
December 4th 2-4 Pm

Before Santa heads out to deliver toys to the children of the world, Santa Comes to Conover to see the good little boys and girls at the Lions Christmas Party. Please be our guests to welcome Santa to Conver.  Santa arrives on the the Snow Buddies giantic grooming Machine! Come take your holiday photos with Santa, Chili Charlie, and Blizzard Belle while enjoying snacks, treats, and other goodies.  The traditional homemade sugar cookies to decorate are also an event favorite.  The lions wish you Happy Holidays.

Ways the Conover Lions Serve the Community

Local Events

"We Serve" the community by hosting free events for the public to enjoy, many include live music, dancing, and BBQ's at the Conover community center pavilion as well as holiday festivals for the kids to enjoy. The Conover Lions are part of the Lions International, run as  a not for profit entity filed in the state of Wisconsin. All donations support local activities, scholarships, veterans, and those in need within the community. Local action at the community level by Lions promotes the principles of good governtment, good citizenship, diversity, quality and inclusion providing opportunities for a positive impact and inovative ideas in an ever changing world.

Medical Storage Locker 

The Lions provide medical equipment that has been donated by the community for use by locals in need. We provide, walkers, canes, wheel chairs, eye glasses, braces and other medical equipment. The Lions also host blood drives, and some members even drive medical transplant donations to area hospitals. If you have equipement that is in good shape that you would like to donate or have a person in need of a medical device, please contact Lenny at 715-477-0575. 

Scholarships High School Grads

Each year the Conover Lions grant scholarships for higher education to the High School grads in the community that have applied. We use the money raised from our events, the donations from good people like you, and the wonderful business owners of Conover, Wisconsin to award deserving individuals these scholarships. Contact the Lions Secretary to request an application to apply for a Scholarship at 715-477-0575.  Remeber, Conover Lions are able to offer the community service hours for the credits required to graduate.  Get involved and have fun!
